The Royal Treatment

Happi Monday, everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at  Happileigh Scrappin'!  This week was Happi Sister Amanda's turn to think of  a challenge.  In honor of the Royal Wedding on April 29th, we want to see wedding cards!  But, to make sure the cards are worthy of Royalty...we want to see some Crown Jewels on your card.  You can use any colors for your cards, but just remember to bling it up!  Here's my card...

I created my card using Leigh's Royal Couple, which can be found here. I colored the image using Copic markers, then a gold pen for the medals and Stickles for the veil.  Castle background colored with colored pencils and Gamsol.  The crown background is a Tim Holtz texture folder by Sizzix.  I colored the top embossing with gold paint, then used Distress ink to color the debossed sections.  Happily Ever After sentiment was cut from DCWV's Once Upon a Time mat stack.  I created this tent card using a tutorial found here.

Remember, you do not have to use a Happileigh Scrappin' image to enter the challenge, but if you do your card will be entered twice!  If you do not have any Happileigh Scrappin' images yet, you can find some freebies here, or you can go to the store here.  Leigh still has her spring sale going on (buy 3 and get 1 free) and there's currently a Mother's Day special (receive a free Mother's Day sentiment with every purchase).

I hope to see some of your entries!  Thank you for visiting my blog!

I am also entering my card in the following challenges:

Crafty Cardmakers: A Royal Wedding (Red, White & Blue and/or Wedding)
Polka Doodles: Tie the Knot
Scrapbook Sisters: Wedding or Anniversary
Fairy Tale Challenge Blog: Create a tent card
Desert Islands Crafts:  The Queen's Itinerary
Use 3 or more of the following:
1. Red, White & Blue
2. Fairytale
3. Ribbon
4. Lace
5. Crown Jewels
6. Horse & Carriage
7. Stair Step Card
8. Castle
9. Prince Charming
10. Princess Bride
I used # 2, 5, 8, 9, 10
