Inspire

Hey y'all!  This is going to be a really short post because it's getting late and I have to get up EARLY tomorrow.  It rained/sleeted most of the night, and it's still going strong.  Tomorrow's going to be a BAD drive to work, so I'm leaving about 2 hours early.  Cross your fingers and say a prayer that I get there!  =D

Anyway, I'm just popping by to show you my latest card.  I created this for February 2012's Sketch For You To Try over at i{heart}2stamp.com.  Here's the sketch.  Fun!

Aaaaaaand.......here's my card!

I used the adorable Steampunker by Tiddly Inks.  She was colored with Copics.  Design papers are from DCWV's Tattered Time collection.  The circle behind Steampunker is Core*dinations paper, embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and lightly sanded. Metal embellishments are from Tim Holtz.

Well, that's it for now!  Don't forget to stop by on Thursday to see the new Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  Thanks for visiting, and we'll see you soon!

CAS 1-1-1-1

Hello, hello, hello!  Welcome to another Wednesday!  I have a new Digistamps 4 Joy challenge for you.  This one was kind of tough for me, but ended up being fun.  This challenge is to create a CAS (Clean And Simple) card using only 1 image, 1 patterned paper, 1 design paper and 1 embellishment.  First I thought, well, this will be easy.  Easier said than done!  I kept wanting to add to it, but I'm pretty happy with how my little card turned out.  I hope you like it, too!

I used Peace, which can be found in the Faces category at the Digistamps 4 Joy store.  I just love the sweet faces with the tiled backgrounds. (You may have seen this post using Joy.)  I colored the image with Copics and used stickles to bring out the "Peace" signature.  Paper and ribbon from my stash.

Well, I hope you liked my little CAS card!  Now it's time to show me how much better you can do!  =D  Head on over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog to check out the rest of the DT and play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dust Bunnies

Good morning my lovelies!  I had a fabulous long weekend on my retreat.  I didn't get many cards made, but I did finish my first sewing project since 7th grade.  Yay!  It's a hot mess, but it's MY hot mess.  =D  I'll post more pictures and details later.  As much fun as it was to get away, it's so nice to be back home with my hubby and my furbaby.  I got home just in time to be treated to a lovely dinner at Red Lobster.  Mmmm....crab legs....  =D

Another thing I got home just in time for..........the new Digi Doodle Shop challenge!  Plus, it's my favorite kind: Anything Goes!  Woo and two hoos!!

I had gotten this fabulous sentiment from Wink Wink Ink a LONG time ago, but had never used it.  It's so me, I just had to have it.  (I really hate vacuuming and sweeping.) As soon as I saw this adorable Digi Doodle Shop image Little Sweeper, I knew they would be perfect together.  (Want to know a secret?  She's currently featured in the Spotlight at the store!  Well, ok, it's not so much a secret, but you should still stop by and see the GORGEOUS cards made by two more of our DT members!)  You can find her here, in the People section, subsection Children and Babies. Now, I tried to find a cute picture of dust bunnies, but as you can imagine...that wasn't easy.  So I decided to use a public domain image of REAL bunnies.  They're grey, though, so that's kind of like dust, right?  =D  Little Sweeper was colored with Copics (of course), the papers and frizzy ribbon are from my stash.  All papers were edged with Colorbox chalk ink in Chestnut Roan.

Now you've seen my little card, hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop challenge blog to check out the gorgeous projects by the rest of the DT.

Remember, you don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop stamp, but if you do it will be entered twice.  Also, you can enter as many times as you want...as long as it's with a new card/project each time.   Don't have any Digi Doodle Shop images?  Check out the 99 cent category!  These images will be going away forever March 1st, so get them while you can!

Don't forget to check out the store to find out which fabulous images are 15% off for the month of February!  See you later, and thanks for stopping by.  =D

Loooooove!

Happy Wednesday!!  It's Digistamps 4 Joy challenge time!  Woot, woot!  Now, there's only a week until Valentine's Day, so what better time to create a love card?   I made this one for my hubby.  Don't worry, he doesn't read my blog so he won't see it before V-Day.  =D

I used the gorgeous Flower Heart, which can be found here in the Frames and Borders section.  I colored the image with Spica markers, and got to use my new border punch.  Love it!  I know it's a bit girly, but I think DH will like it anyway.  =D

Why don't you head on over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog and check out the LOVEly creations by the rest of the team!  =D  Trust me, they are just gorgeous and very inspiring!  You don't want to miss them.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope to see you play along!

Love is in the Air

Good morning, my lovelies!   I'm here to bring you the newest Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  This week the theme is.......Love is in the Air!  With Valentine's Day only 12 days away it's a great time to create some of those love inspired projects.  Don't have a sweetie?  How about making something for a parent, child, or dear friend?

Here's my design for this theme:

I used the adorable Girl Bear from the Bear Set found in the 99-cent Digi Deals category. I just love the cute little headband.  The sentiment on the inside of the card is from Tiddly Inks.  I used my new Fiskars border punch, which I am just so excited about!  I also tried using a pin in my design for the very first time.  I've always wanted to use pins, but never felt very comfortable with how it looked.  This one turned out pretty ok, I think.  All in all, I love this card.  It's a bit too girly to give to the hubby, but I could give it to my mom or a friend.

Now you've seen my card, hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop challenge blog to check out the incredible projects by the rest of the DT.

Or just grab some images at the store and start racking up those award points!
