Digi Doodle Shop #123

Hey y'all!  It's Thursday, which means it's time for another Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  Exciting, yes?  This week the theme is:

Vintage

As y'all probably know, I've been trying to get all of my Christmas cards done early.  So...voila!

I used The Perfect Tree, available in the Christmas section of the store.  I just think this little scene if perfect for a vintage Christmas! Image colored with Copics, then Stickles added to the fur and snow.  (Spica markers were used for the pines and ax.)  Then the image was edged with Distress Ink in Pumice Stone.  The papers are from Creative Memories.

Hey y'all, welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs Vicious Villains blog hop!  Are you having fun so far? So, here's my card showing off the fabulous Maleficent Honey image. 

Isn't she marvelous?  She is definitely one of my favorite villains of all time.  =D  She was colored with Copics.  The purple paper, bats and spiders are from my stash.  The grey and white papers are from Basic Grey's Eerie collection.

Now, part of the release is to give our favorite Disney movie.  That's really hard for me; I have so many good memories associated with Disney movies from my childhood, and I love them all.  Oliver and Company, The Sword in the Stone, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers, Aladdin...there are so many to choose from!  However, I finally decided my favorite movie is...

The Aristocats!

I just adore that movie, and one of my favorite songs is Everybody Wants to Be a Cat.  Magnifique!

Good morning, and happy Friday!  Oh my gosh, I'm SO happy it's Friday.  It has been such a long week...but a good one!  I had two ultra sounds this week, but Bean is doing just wonderful.  He's the right size, all the pieces are there, heart's normal...I'm so relieved.  =D  How is YOUR week going?

Here's Mermaid Mandy!

Isn't she adorable?? She was colored with Copics, then Glossy Accents were added to her eyes and Stickles were added to her tail and hair.  The fish dp is from my stash, and the blue background is actually white paper that I colored with Momento chalk ink.  The seaweed frame stamp I got at a used stamp sale ages ago, sorry I don't know who made it.  I stamped in versacolor in sage green, then embossed with Bridal  embossing powder.  Turned out more white than green...but I guess you learn something new every day. =D Embellishments are from Jolee's Boutique.  Sorry the picture is kind of dark, but I really wanted to show off all the sparkle.  It kind of reminds me of being in the ocean, a little dark, but lots of sparkle from the sunlight coming through the water. =D

Good morning, everyone! It's Friday which means.....it's Freebie Friday time over at the Sassy Studio Designs Paper Craft Planet Group!  Woot woot!  My favorite word...free.  =D  Not only is it Freebie Friday, but it's the start of our newest challenge.  This fortnight the challenge is:

I've paired her with a tub from Happileigh Scrappin' and a sentiment from Create with TLC.  The images were colored with Copics, and a gold Spica marker for the feet of the tub.  I used Crystal Stickles to decorate the bubbles. Papers, ribbon and flower are from my stash.

Hello darlings!  It's Thursday, which means it's time for another Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  Exciting, yes?  This week the theme is:

Woo hoo!  Well, I've been in a birthday kind of mood lately (I feel you can NEVER have enough birthday cards made), so I decided one more wouldn't hurt.  Plus, I've had these great golf charms for ages, so my card kind of planned itself.

I know the sentiment's a little corny, but in a good way, I hope!  =D  I used The Adamant Golfer - Focus, available in the Men section of the People category in the store.  It was colored with Copics. Papers are from DCWV. Ribbon, charm and buttons are from my stash.

It's a Small World, Part II

Hi there!  Welcome to Sassy Studio Designs' It's a Small World Part II blog hop!!  Are you having fun so far?  I certainly hope so!  You should have arrived from the lovely Soma's blog.  Wasn't her card gorgeous?? If you just happened to come across this post and didn't start at the beginning, please feel free to stop by the SSD blog and go through the hop in order.  There are many prizes and much fun to be had.  =D

Now, as you may be aware, today is the birthday of the lovely Lindsay (owner and artist of Sassy Studio Designs).  So, a great big happy birthday to you, doll!  As part of the surprise, it was decided that not only is this a hop showing off the newest Small World images, but it's also a celebration of her birthday!

As you can see (and might have guessed from my sneak peek) I got to play with the stunning India image.  Isn't she a beaut?  Absolutely perfect for paper piecing, especially with my new Taj Mahal paper pack. =D  The sentiment says Happy Birthday in Hindu (I hope!) which I have been told is one of the main languages in India.  (Thank you, Google!)  My embellishments are from Recollections (available at Michael's Craft Stores) and the gold intricate ribbon is from JoAnn's.

Isn't she just the cutest?  I love the expression on her face.  I colored my image with Copics.  I got to use my oval Nesties for the image and sentiment, and one of my favorite Nesties for the scallop circle. The papers, ribbon, gems and flower are all from my stash.  The sentiment is part of a hostess set from Stampin' Up.

Good morning, y'all!  If you're here looking for my Dare to Be Sassy Thursday post...there isn't one.  We have switched teams again, so now I will be showing off the Friday Freebie you can get in the Paper Craft Planet group.  However, if you're here for the newest Digi Doodle Shop challenge....you're in the right spot!  Woo hoo!

This week we want to see

Ribbons and Bows!

Fun, right?  Who doesn't love ribbon?  I sure do.  I admit it; I'm a ribbon junkie.  How about you?  With a baby on the way, I'm trying to get my Christmas cards done super early this year, before I get too tired/busy. (My goal is to have them all finished by my birthday at the end of October. Wish me luck!!)

I used the lovely Christmas Ornaments, available in the Christmas section of the store.  Isn't it beautiful?  I have to admit, it's one of my favorite Christmas stamps ever.  I decided I really wanted a ton of sparkle, so I colored it with Spica markers instead of my Copics.  Well, the green, brown and blue are Spica markers.  The silver is a Stardust pen.  The silver paper I got from Archiver's and embossed using a very cool little damask folder.  The dp is from DCWV.  Ribbon is from Michael's, and the chipboard stars and snowflake are from my stash.  I painted the chipboard silver then covered with Stickles for a bit more shimmer.

Dots and Stripes

Hey y'all!  Digistamps 4 Joy is having a Dots and Stripes challenge, and I decided to play along.

The papers, gems, heart pins and XOX button are from my stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  This was a really fun image to paper piece.  It's called Dress on Hanger.  I just think it's so cute, and so versatile.  It could be so many things, a wedding gown, a bridesmaid gown, a LBD...the possibilities are endless!
