Napkin Fold Tutorial

Hey, y'all!  Happy Wednesday!  I am just so excited.  I was asked by the the lovely Jenn  to be a guest designer for Just Some Lines and do a tutorial for their Tutorial Wednesdays.  How cool is that?!  Of course I said I'd love to.  =D

Even though it's kind of an involved process, I decided to do a tutorial on the Napkin Fold Card.  Why?  Because it's my favorite fancy fold, and it really is pretty easy.  It looks complicated, but I promise, once you've done it, it's a breeze!

Here's the front of my card, when it's all closed up with the belt on:

and here it is open to see the inside:

I used the fabulous Christmas Bird and Tower of Gifts for my card.  Aren't they just the cutest?!  I really needed to get started on my Christmas cards.  With a little one due in early December, and knowing how far behind I was last year, I know I need to get all my holiday cards done by Thanksgiving at the latest!  (Let's see if I can actually accomplish that goal. LOL)  The papers I used are from Stampin' Up.  I can't recall the name at this precise moment, but it's a set of papers using mostly non-traditional colors that I just LOVE.  (I love using pinks and blues in my Christmas cards.  I feel like a rebel. LOL)  The images were colored with Copics, and then I added some Stickles to simulate snow and just because I love sparkly things.  I also got to use my brand new Martha Stewart all around border punch.  I actually bought the punch for this specific tutorial, and for these types of cards in general.  (I didn't have any good border punches that would go all the way around the page.)

Like the card?  Want to give it a shot?  Head on over to the Just Some Lines blog to see the full tutorial.  (Be prepared, it's a little picture heavy!  I wanted to make sure to illustrate each step as clearly as possible.)  If you decide to try it out, leave me a comment with your link.  I'd love to see your results!  Plus, this is my first tutorial EVER, so I want to make sure I did an ok job explaining it for y'all.  =D

Ok, girl, I gotta admit. I'm mega impressed. Despite having a scorpal, I am way fold challenged. Way challenged. I can't do much more than a very simple fold and have it turn out right. So, yes, it's true. I am in envy and awe of your card. I love it. I also love pink on Christmas cards (well, on practically anything). Adorable image and a sweet, sweet card.
