Scrapbook Software Giveaway!!

**This post will stay at the top of my blog until the giveaway ends.**

Hey, y'all!  I have some exciting news today.  I don't know if you've seen these posts around blogland, but a number of people have been hosting giveaways for the My Memories digital scrapbook software.  I love scrapbooking, but you know me...I spend so much time making cards that I rarely have time for any of my books.  I thought that digital scrapbooking might be the solution to my problem.  When I saw the giveaways, I looked into the software and thought it sounded like fun, so I entered a couple of them.  Unfortunately at the time, I did not win.  However, as I was cleaning out my emails a week or so ago, I noticed an email from Liz Gardner of My Memories....asking if I wanted to host a giveaway.  Heck yeah I did!

I was able to download My Memories Suite and play around with it.  Y'all, let me tell you, it's FABULOUS!!  It's even better than I could have hoped!  I found it extremely easy to use, and was quickly able to come up with a number of fun pages.  My Memories Suite practically held my hand through the entire creation process. In one evening I created more scrapbook pages than I've been able to finish over the past YEAR.  Plus, you can export the pages as picture files and have them professionally printed in photobooks.  Not only that, there's a service right there on the My Memories website for photo books and calendars! This is definitely the scrapbook software for me.  Check out the pages I created with the kits that come with the software:

Not only does My Memories come with some great kits, there are HUNDREDS more you can find at the My Memories website.

Here is one of the quick pages that I was able to download FREE at the site.  (They have limited time freebies that are changing all the time.)  All I had to do was download the quick page, add my picture, and voila!  A beautiful page finished!

Finally, here's a couple of pages I created using the Bootiful Night set I bought.  You know how much I love Halloween, and this was the perfect set for me.

NOW, for the ***really*** exciting part...the giveaway!  Do you want this software?  Come on...you know you do!  Well, I have been given the opportunity to provide this software free to one of my followers.  That's right...FREE!  All you have to do is go visit the My Memories website and look around at all the fun kits.  Come back here and leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite digital kit or layout is, and don't forget to include your email!  I will keep this giveaway open until January 7, 2012.  The winner will be posted on January 8th.

Don't want to wait until January 8th?  Want to get a head start on creating those fabulous pages?  My Memories has given me a special offer to pass on to all of you!

Click on the image above and use code STMMMS22254 in the promo code field to receive $10 off the software.  That's right, you'll get the software for only $29.97!  You also get $10 off a purchase in the store, so load up on the fabulous kits.

What are you waiting for?  Head on over to My Memories to check it out, and don't forget to come back here on January 8th to see if you are the lucky winner!

Christmas Cards, Boxes and Tags

**WARNING - Picture Heavy Post**

Hey y'all!  I'm writing a quick post to show off my last few Christmas cards and presents! I swear they were handed out on time, just posted late. LOL

This adorable image is Little Dancer 2 from A Day for Daisies. She was colored with Copics, and Stickles were added to the red trim.  Papers are scrap pieces from DCWV, brads are from my stash. Oval shape is from my Nestabilities, and the strips were punched on each end with a circle to give it the flag look.
Challenges:
A Day for Daisies: Anything Goes
PaperPlay: Christmas
Pollycraft: Punch It
Sketch 'n' Stash: Sketch
The Play Date Cafe: Photo Inspiration

For this card I used Old World Santa from Bugaboo.  Isn't he adorable?!?  He was colored with Copics. Papers are from DCWV, large snowflakes are punches from Martha Stewart; ribbon, gems and little snowflakes from my stash.  Sentiment from Hero Arts.
Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday: Sketch

These boxes were created with my Martha Stewart Scoreboard.  Papers are from Stampin' Up.  Ribbon from Michaels.  The adorable snowman and mouse image is from Spyder's Corner. (Thanks, Diane!!)  I colored the image with Copics. (Also, I forgot to take a picture before signing the boxes!  Whoops!)
Challenges:
My Time to Craft: Winter Pals

These boxes were also created using my Martha Stewart Scoreboard.  Papers from DCWV.  Images from Simply B Stamps, colored with Copics.  Ribbon from my stash.  (I learned from my earlier mistake and took the pictures FIRST.)  The second box was created for a Dude Time Doodles challenge...but I spent to much time relaxing instead of posting and am getting it posted one day past the deadline.  Whoops!
Challenges:
Crafty Catz: Santa's Hat (girl box)
Penny's Paper-Crafty: Holiday Gifts

This tag went on a bottle of wine for my Aunt.  The image and sentiment are from Wendy Made.  The holly on the top I drew myself.  Colored with Copics and Stickles.

This image is from Dilly Beans, and was created for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog...but I missed the deadline.  Like I said...too much vacation.  (Or not enough?)  The image was colored with Copics, papers from DCWV, ribbon and gems from my stash and sentiment from Hero Arts.  Here's the sketch that inspired me:

Challenges:
Charisma Cardz: Anything Goes

Something Old, Something New

Good morning! I hope y'all had a great holiday! It's time for another Digistamps 4 Joy challenge.  It's been a nice 4 week break, but now it's time to get back to the craft table!  =D  The new challenge is Something Old, Something New, in celebration of the New Year.

I used the gorgeous Joy to create a fun little gate-fold card.  I colored the image with Copics and Spica markers.  Papers are from DCWV and are my "something old".  I've had this stack FOREVER. LOL  The "something new" items are the butterfly, peacock feathers and flower die cuts, which I just got from K & Co.  As soon as I saw the peacock feathers, I knew it would be perfect with this image.

Well now you've seen my project, head on over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog to see what the rest of the ladies came up with!  Thanks for stopping by, and if I don't "see" you before the weekend, have a fabulous (and safe) New Year!

Christmas is Almost Here!

Are you ready?  I thought I was.  Then I realized...even though it feels like I've been making Christmas cards since the 4th of July, I'm actually STILL (4) cards short.  Whoops!  Luckily I have tomorrow off work to finish wrapping presents, mail out my cards and gifts (sorry they're going to be late, y'all!), make envelopes for my cards and finish the rest of my cards.  Eek!

Luckily this week's Digi Doodle Shop Challenge is going to help me out.  This week is....Anything Goes!!

Some of you may recognize this image.  It was one of the free images from our Pet Pardons promotion in November.  I just love all the animals sitting there, hanging out with Santa.  =D  Image colored with Copics and Stickles added for accents.  The papers are from DCWV.  I don't remember where the stamp is from....I think Inkadinkado.  I used white hero art ink for the stamp, but it didn't come out right, so I went over the entire stamp with a white unibal pen.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!  Flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

Now you've seen my card, hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.

Remember, you don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop stamp, but if you do it will be entered twice.  Also, you can enter as many times as you want...as long as it's with a new card/project each time.  Also also....(LOL)...this challenge will run for TWO WEEKS!!

PLUS.....for the whole month of December.....EVERYTHING is 25% off!!  Only a week or so left for this deal...so hurry!  =D

A Saturated Canary Christmas

I'm baaaaaack!  Miss me?  =D  Well, I'm writing another post tonight because Saturated Canary is having a Christmas Link Up Party!  She wants to see any Christmas/New Years project using a Saturated Canary digi or Simply Sassy stamp....then you go back and vote for your favorite!  Voting is open to anyone...

I decided I just HAD to play along.  I just discovered Saturated Canary in the past month or so, and I absolutely LOVE the images.  =D  Here's my entry for the party.

I used the adorable Winter Ragamuffin.  I just LOVE that snowman!!  My image was colored with Copics, then Stickles were added for accents.  The papers are from TPC Stucio (shimmer white with snowflakes), DCWV (blue with snowflakes) and Stampin' Up (trees).  Ribbon, metal snowflakes and flourishes are from my stash.  The silver snowflakes are a punch from Martha Stewart.

Well, I really hope you'll head over to Saturated Canary and vote for your favorite.  Of course, I hope it's mine, but there are a lot of talented people out there!  =D  You only have until 12/20/11 at midnight! Thanks so much for stopping by!

12 Days of Scary Christmas - Day 7

Hey y'all!  It's time for Day 7 over at Simply B's 12 Days of Scary Christmas.  This theme is...the shape of Christmas.  What does that mean?  A star?  A tree?  Are you kidding??  Of course not!  The team at Simply B want to see.....COFFINS!  That's right, coffins all decked out for Christmas!  (Well, I guess vampires have to celebrate the holidays, too....right?)  Betty even included a link to a fabulous treat box tutorial over at MarthaStewart.com.

Let me tell you...the tutorial was AWESOME!  It worked great, even my very first time!  I will definitely be making more of these....possibly for EVERY holiday. LOL  I usually give treat boxes to my coworkers for the holidays, and this one will be perfect!

I used the fabulous Vampiress Tilly.  I just love her sassy attitude!  I merged her with a great frame I found over at GraphicsFairy.com. The image was colored with Copics and Spica Markers.  Flowers and ribbon are from my stash.  Flowers started out white, then I colored them with my Copic.  the leaves are from a Sizzix die.  Papers from DCWV.

Well, I hope you like it!  If you have a chance, check out the tutorial and come play along!  The prize is a digi from a surprise, not yet released line.  I don't know what it's going to be.....but knowing Betty, I know it's going to be fabulous!  =D

Thanks so much for stopping by.  See you soon!

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #87

Happy Thursday, y'all!!  It's time for the new Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  This week is...Paper Piercing!  That's piercing, NOT piecing.

I used the fabulous Fairy in Flight.  I colored it with Copics, then decided to fussy-cut it.  Well, I'm just thankful I have a good relationship with my xacto knife.... =D  My papers are from Stampin' Up.  I pierced holes around the outside of each of the pieces.  Before attaching the yellow and pink paper with the fairy I used a template to pierce some swirls to indicate flight. Pink butterflies are from my stash.  The purple butterfly is a layered Stampin' Up punch, covered with clear Crackle Paint to add some curl and dimension.  Ribbon is from my stash. Stickles added for accents since you can't have a fairy without sparkly fair dust!

PLUS.....for the whole month of December.....EVERYTHING is 25% off!!  Woo hoo!!  If there's an image (or two or three) you've been eyeing...now's the time to get it!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 8

After last night's false start, THIS is my card for the 8th round of the Progressive Challenge over at Crafters Digital Art Center (CDAC).  The theme is....Animals Hold Our Hearts!

The image is from McMahon Five Designs. Isn't it adorable?  I love those bubbles.  The sentiment is from TLC Creations.  I colored the image with Copics, outlined with a light blue Spica pen, then shaded the paper with Colorbox chalk ink.  The papers are from Stampin' Up, except for the blue paper, which is from DCWV.  I drew lots of bubbles all over the blue paper with a light blue Spica pen.  Blue gems are from my stash.

Well, thanks for stopping by.  Hopefully I'll have time to make more cards for the next Progressive round since my holiday cards and projects will be over.  We'll see you soon!

A Couple More Cards

Hi again!!  Be warned...this is kind of a long post.  Have patience!  =D

My first project was primarily made for the Simply Betty Stamps 12 Days of Scary Christmas.  These challenges  happen so quick...I ended up missing Day 5.  BUT, today is another day, and I'm ready to play along with Day 6 which is............................Scary Bells!  Now, if you didn't see my Day 4 post from a couple of days ago, you might not know that Betty has been rewriting some classic Christmas carols, turning them into Christmas scarols for inspiration!!  They are hilarious!  At least I think they are, so I'm going to share the words to Scary Bells with you.  Everyone sing along.......

"Crashing through the night,
With a horrid mangling sound,
Clang each heart with fright,
To terrorize the town.
Bells from belfries ring,
Making spirits rise,
The freaky tones like voices moan throughout the midnight skies!

Oh!
Scary bells, scary bells,
Ring your ghostly call,
Oh what fun it is to scream and terrorize us all. Ah!

Scary bells, scary bells,
With your manic sound,
When you toll the spirits roll from six feet underground!

A day or two ago,
I thought I'd take a ride,
To see the mansion sights,
To see what was inside.
My horse began to rear,
The scary bells did clang,
I fell into an open grave to cheer myself I sang...

Scary bells, scary bells,
Ring your ghostly call,
Oh what fun it is to scream and terrorize us all. Ah!

Scary bells, scary bells,
With your manic sound,
When you toll the spirits roll from six feet underground!"

So what do you think?  Inspiring, yes?  Here's my card:

As you can see, I was inspired by quite a few things in the song.  =D  For images I've used Devina Digi from Simply Betty Stamps, Christmas Bells from Bits N Bobs (including the one I superimposed on the brougham), Brougham is from Arthur's Clip Art, and the graveyard scene is from Andy Bauer at The Digi Street.  I wish you could see the bottoms of Devina and the Brougham...I did a TON of fussy cutting, not realizing no one would ever see it. LOL Oh well!  Good practice I suppose.  The images were all colored with Copics.  You can't tell from the picture, but Devina and the graveyard are popped up with pop dots for added dimension.
Papers are from DCWV (trees) and Stampin' Up (red...thanks Jenn!).  The sentiment was created by me, and edged with Momento Ink in London Fog.  (I guess I was in a East Coast frame of mind.  I tried thinking of a sentiment, and all that kept running through my head was "wicked cool".  So....I figured I'd go with it. LOL)  Ghosties are from my stash, part of a blog candy I won ages ago.

Challenges:
Simply Betty Stamps: Day 6 - Scary Bells
Cute Card Thursday: Anything Goes

Here's my second card:

This is my first (and unfortunately only) card for the 8th round of the Progressive Challenge over at Crafters Digital Art Center (CDAC).  The theme is....Animals Hold Our Hearts!  They really do hold mine.  Except birds.  I really can't stand birds, but this image by....BAH!  Ok, the image is by Sugar Creek Hollow, and what I was going to say is that birds just creep my out, they always have, but this image was too cute not to use.  As I was going to CDAC to verify the artist, I realized that this is actually an image from the *7th* round.  Whoops!  Guess this card actually ***isn't*** for the CDAC challenge.  That will be coming tomorrow night, after work. LOL  Well, anyway.  I colored the image with Copics.  Papers are from DCWV.  The tag is from Dana's Inspirations.  Ribbon is from my stash, and the stars are from Stampin' Up.

Challenges:
Paper Pretties: Use Ribbon
Craft Your Passion: Tag You're It
Cardmadfairy's Digi Days: Tags
Bee Crafty: Christmas

Ok, that's it for now!  Sorry for the long post...thanks for sticking with me, and thanks for stopping by!  We'll see you tomorrow.  =D

12 Days of Scary Christmas - Day 4

Hey y'all!  If you haven't heard, Simply Betty Stamps is challenging their followers to do the 12 Days of Scary Christmas.  Due to illness and being *super* busy at work, I missed the first three days.  However....I'm ready to play along with day 4!

Betty has a fabulous Christmas Scarol (snort!) to inspire us.  Be prepared...it's a bit long, but it's just too cool not to post the whole thing.

Wreck the Halls
"Wreck the Halls with bones and spiders
Fa la la la la la la la la
'Tis the season for Ghost Riders
Fa la la la la la la la la

Don we now scary apparel
Fa la la la la la la la la
Dress up like Lock, Shock and Barrel
Fa la la la la la la la la

Join the chaos strike the harp
Fa la la la la la la la la
Ouch the wreaths are really sharp
Fa la la la la la la la la

If they eat you it's their pleasure
Fa la la la la la la la la
You'll become their Yule tide treasure
Fa la la la la la la la la

Wreck the halls with rats and roaches
Fa la la la la la la la la
Hurry, Christmas Eve approaches!
Fa la la la la la la la la

Drape them all be dark and thrilling
Fa la la la la la la la la
Look their lovely ooze is dripping
Fa la la la la la la la la

Try a taste of poison toddy
Fa la la la la la la la la
Leave a gift, leave us your body
Fa la la la la la la la la

Dig a grave then dig it deeper
Fa la la la la la la la la
Leave a present for the reaper
Fa la la la la la la la la....la la la la!!!"

How awesome is that?!?  Love it!  Here's my interpretation of "Wreck the Halls"...

I used Betty's image Spider Queen London.  I just love her!  The fireplace image I found on a public domain clip art site.  The stockings on the fireplace I created myself.  I used a blank Christmas stocking and a skull image that I placed all over the stocking.  Both the stocking and skull were also from the public domain clip art site.  Both images were colored with Copics and accented with Stickles.  The papers are from DCWV, the ribbon is from Michael's craft stores, and the little skulls are from a blog candy I won ages ago.  The sentiment on the front of the card is actually part of a bit by one of my favorite comics, Mitch Hedberg. He had a ton of fun one-liners, and this one totally seemed to fit.  The inside sentiment is my own.

I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out.  I was ecstatic about the stockings...I just love the little skulls!

Ok, I'd chat more, but it's almost 4 am and I'm exhausted. I'll try to catch up more next post.

I am entering this card into the Simply Betty Wreck the Halls challenge, Forever Night's Freaky Friday Skelikinz Christmas challenge, and Dilly Beans Twisted Christmas challenge.  A side note to the Dilly Beaners....I checked the rules, and I didn't see one saying whether or not a Dilly Beans image had to be used.  If you actually do need to use a Dilly Beans image to participate in the challenges, I sincerely apologize.  Please feel free to remove me from the running.  Thanks!!

Nature!!

Good morning, my lovelies!  It's Thursday, which means it's time for another Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  Woot woot!  Bet you can't guess the theme....unless you read the title of the post, of course. LOL  It's..........nature!

I used the adorable Sliding Penguins, which can be found here.  I just love how joyful they look.  I colored the image with Copics and accented the snow with Stickles.  The paper is from DCWV, the snowflakes are from Martha Stewart (also accented with Stickles) and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Gems in the center of the snowflakes are from my stash.

PLUS.....for the whole month of December.....EVERYTHING is 25% off!!  Woo hoo!!  If there's an image (or two or three) you've been eyeing...now's the time to get it!

Ladybug Crafts Ink: Snowflakes and Sparkle
Tuesday Throwdown: Celebrate the Season

Another Weekend Passes

Well, it's Sunday again. I hate how quickly the weekends pass...especially when you're sick.  I've been taking DayQuil and NyQuil all weekend and have really been out of it.  Didn't get any Christmas shopping done...but...I did go to a 13 hour crop yesterday and was able to create some cards!  I also made some new friends, which is always fun.  =D

Here's the first card I created.

This adorable image is a freebie over at Stamp Fairy.  His name is Oscar...isn't he cute?!?  He was colored with Copic markers, and the snow was outlined with Stickles.  The paper is from DCWV and Stampin' Up.  Gems and gem snowflakes are from my stash.  The paper snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch. Sentiment from Stampin' Up. The sketch for the front is from Stamp Fairy.

Challenges:
Daisy Doodles: Christmas
Bee Crafty: Christmas

Here's the second card I made.

I just had to use my new Crafts & Me image again...I just love it so much!  She was colored with Copics, and Stickles were added to the wings.  The image was popped up to give dimension, and also to fit over the pearls.  =D Papers are from DCWV and Stampin' Up.  Sentiment by Hero Arts.  The purple gems are from my stash.  The pink pearl swirls are from Prima. They were originally white, but I colored them with my pink Copic marker to make them match.

Challenges:
Crafts & Me: Pearls and Swirls
Craft Your Passion: 'Tis the Season
Fairy Tale Challenge Blog: Christmas
The Emerald Faerie Garden: Non-traditional Christmas Colors
Bee Crafty: Christmas

Ok, here's another!

These two images are from Crafty Sentiments.  Cute, no?  They were colored with Copics, then Stickles were added.  The star chains and star on the tree were colored with a Stardust pen.  You can't really see it, but the bear and present are popped up to add some dimension. The papers are from Stampin' Up and DCWV.  Ribbon is from my stash.  The color inspiration came from this week's challenge at The Pink Elephant (TPE 127).

Challenges:
Crafty Sentiments: 1 Ribbon, 2 Images, 3 Papers
The Pink Elephant: #127, Photo Inspiration
Bee Crafty: Christmas

Ok, this is the final card...

This distressed card was created using a stamp from Tim Holtz.  I've always loved this image of Santa...I call it the Holly King. It was colored and all papers were edged with Distress Inks, and of course stickles were added to the holly.  Papers are from Tim Holtz.  Front sentiment is from Inkadinkado, inside sentiment is from  Hero Arts.  Ribbon and lace are from my stash.  The lace was originally white, but I colored it with Distress Ink.  This is supposed to be a manly card.  I know it has a ribbon and some Stickles, but it's still manly, right? I'd give it to a guy.  If you disagree, please feel free to remove me from the masculine challenges.  =D

Chalenges:
Southern Girls: Ribbon Madness
There's Magic in the Air: Vintage or Shabby Chic Christmas
Tuesday Throwdown: Masculine Holiday Card
Cards for Men: Fancy Fold
Cute Card Thursday: It's Just a Number
Sweet Stamps: Gate Fold
Fab 'n' Funky: Anything Goes

Fooled ya!  I've got one more!  Really, though, it's an ATC....so it's not really a card, which means I was technically telling the truth.  =D

This image is from the Wax Fruit Company. I colored the background of the image with a black Uniball pen, then outlined all of the petals and the outside of the ATC with Stickles.  You can't really see it, but the image is popped up off the card.  Paper is from Teresa Collins.

Challenges:
ATCs With Attitude: Flowers
Wicked Wednesday ATC: Black and White

Thanks for stopping by!  We'll see you again soon!  I think it's time to take more DayQuil and take a nap.  =D

Lots of Sparkle!

Hello, and happy December 1st!!  24 more days until Christmas....you ready?  I'm certainly not.  I have a ton more Christmas cards to make. I'm doing a 13-hour crop on Saturday, so I'm planning on bringing my Ipod, my favorite Christmas music, and getting down to work!  =D  If you're like me and you still have cards to make...why not join in this week's Digi Doodle Shop challenge?  This week, we want to see LOTS of sparkle!

Now, I tried to get a really good picture of this card, but it wasn't easy.  If the light shined on one part, it didn't shine on the other.  Trust me...it's just FULL of sparkle.  =D  I used the gorgeous Angel and Harp image.  She was colored with Copics (skin and hair), a gold Spica marker (harp and seat), Stardust pen (angel robe) and Stickles (wings).  The stamp is from Inkadinkado, embossed with Zing embossing powder in Copper.  The papers and jewels are from my stash.  It's hard to tell, but on the silver paper with white flowers, all of the swirls are covered with Stickles.  =D

Now you've seen my card, hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.  There are tons of sparkly inspirations!

Remember, you don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop stamp, but if you do it will be entered twice.  Also, you can enter as many times as you want...as long as it's with a new card/project each time.  PLUS.....a new sale starts today!  For the whole month of December.....EVERYTHING is 25% off!!  Woo hoo!!  If there's an image (or two or three) you've been eyeing...now's the time to get it!
