Happy Birthday, USA - Part 1

Happy 4th of July, everyone!  I hope you've all had a fabulous day.  For my American friends, I hope you're being safe if you're partying or playing with fireworks.  I decided to create a couple of Independence Day cards in honor of today's holiday.  Here's the first:

This card was inspired by the song Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (the Angry American) by Toby Keith. I used Strong Island, one of Kenny K's images. Papers are from We R Memory Keepers.  Sentiment was printed out on my computer. Image colored with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by!  We'll see you again soon!

Challenges:
Love to Create: Stars and Stripes
Fab 'n' Funky: Stars and Stripes
The Sisterhood of Crafters: Seeing Stars
Outlawz 2000 Member Party - Paper a la Mode: Colors of Where You Live
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards: Facebook Fan Only sketch

Birthday #2

Well, as y'all may have seen in my previous post, the 16th was my mom's birthday.  Not only was it my mom's birthday, it was also my hubby's birthday, our friend's birthday and our niece's birthday.  Plus, next Monday is my MIL's birthday, and the 28th is another niece and our nephew's birthdays.  Whoo!  Looks like y'all will be seeing quite a few birthday cards from me the next week or so. LOL

Here's the second one I created: the one for my hubby.  His favorite color is purple, which makes me giggle, so I always try to use that color in his birthday cards.

I used this fabulous image I just got from Kenny K called Bodacious Bev.  I merged her with a keg of beer I found on public domain.  The image was colored with Copics.  The background paper is from my new kaisercraft paper.  The gems, ribbon and cross came from my stash.  The sentiment I printed out on word.  It has always made me laugh, and my hubby is a beer connoisseur, so it was perfect.

Because of the colors, it's hard to see the bow on the front of the card. I tried to lighten up the picture a bit more and did a closeup so you could see the bow better.  It's still a bit hard to see...but it's the best I could do.  Sorry!  =D

Well, thanks for stopping by!

Here's the challenges I am entering:

Card Crafter's Circle: Happy Birthday
Charisma Cardz: Happy Birthday

Card crazy...

So, I've been going crazy with the cards lately.  I recently joined a new community, The Outlawz, and have been having a blast trying to compete in all of the challenges.  Below you will see some of my newest creations...

This was actually not for a challenge.  It is the card I created for SIL's wedding.  It is a stamp by The Greeting Farm, colored by Copic markers and (of course) bling added by some Stickles.

This card was created for my MIL's retirement/birthday card.  It's a Michelle Perkett stamp, and was colored using watercolor pencils and souffle pens. (This was entered in the Outlawz Wed. Sketch challenge and Thursday Prisma and Other Medium challenge.)

And finally, this is my birthday card for DH.  It's a Kenny K Downloads stamp (named Star, so you KNOW I had to get it!) and was colored using Copic markers. (This was entered in the Outlawz Friday Copic Challenge.)

I also made a birthday card for my mom, but that was shown in a previous post.  It was created for the Outlawz Monday Birthday challenge and Tuesday Color challenge.

That's it so far this week...we'll see what I come up with for next week!!
