Let's Go Spotty!

**This is post #2 for the day.  Please scroll down for my Sassy Studio Designs sponsorship post.**

Hello again!  It's time for a new Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  Woot woot!  This week the challenge is...

Let's Go Spotty!

I used the adorable Sleeping Infant, which can be found in the Children/Babies section, in the People section of the store.  I just love this image so much.  Colored with Copics...of course. LOL The sentiment is from a k*i Memories stamp set I recently won at Archiver's.  The ribbon, gems, buttons and pearls are from my stash.  The papers are from Pebble's New Addition paper line.

Well, now you've seen my card, hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop challenge blog to check out the amazing projects by the rest of the DT.

Remember, you don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop stamp, but if you do your entry will count twice.  Also, you can enter as many times as you want...as long as it's with a new card/project each time.

Challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky: A New Beginning
Glitter Geeks: Polka Dots
Pile It On: Mix Your Scales
Scrap-Creations: Bingo (I used the bottom line: Pearls, Digi Image and Buttons)

Sassy Studio Designs Sponsors C.R.A.F.T.

Good morning, and Happy Thursday!  I've got another Sassy Studio Design sponsorship for you....my last one for the next few months!  (On June 1st the teams switch spots, so starting then I'll be bringing you the newest Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenges.)  Today starts another C.R.A.F.T. Challenges sponsorship!  You want to know the challenge? Well, it's a recipe.  The C.R.A.F.T. peeps want to see:

2 or more design papers, glitter and a tag!

I used the recently released Chelsea's Graduation, available here. I have a cousin who recently graduated high school, and I wanted to make a card for her.  The purple/blue specks you see on the white paper is actually Stickles and very sparkly...it just didn't photograph well.  Whoops!  Also, it's hard to see in the photo because of the white on white, but the sentiment is actually a tag.

Want to play along?  Head on over to C.R.A.F.T. Challenges to check out their post with all the details and inspiration from their DT.  Want some more inspiration?  Head on over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog to see what the other Sponsorship Sassy Sisters have come up with.  You will not be disappointed!

Cute as a Button

Hey y'all!  Happy Wednesday.  The week is almost over....thank GOODNESS!  I don't know about you, but I cannot wait for the weekend to get here.  Another good thing about this Wednesday...it's time for a new Digistamps 4 Joy challenge!  This fortnight the challenge is.........Cute as a Button!  We want to see papercraft projects with at least one button.  You don't have to stick with just one, though.  Go crazy, add a bunch of buttons!  The more the merrier, right?  =D

Have you seen the new images released in the shop?  Let me tell you, they are cuuuuute!  For this challenge each of the DT members got to use one of the new images, so you'll definitely want to check out each of the DT's blogs.  As for my card, meet...........Curly Carly!

Isn't she a DOLL?  I just love her.  This was my first time trying to color really curly hair with my Copics...all in all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!  The buttons and ribbon are from my stash, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts, part of a stamp set I've had for YEARS.  Don't you just love the paper?  One of my awesome blogging buddies, Trina, sent this paper to me after I admired it on her blog.  Isn't that so sweet?  She's such a kind, generous person.  <3 you, chica!!  It's kind of hard to see, but the stars on the paper are outlined with glitter, and there are a few lines of glitter on the striped paper.  Plus, I outlined the ribbon with lime green Stickles. (And a blue pen, which soaked into the ribbon a bit. Whoops!  I always say...it's those little imperfections that give it character........right??  LOL)

So, anxious to see some of the other new releases made into projects?  Head on over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog to check out the rest of the DT's creations.  Remember, you do not have to use a Digistamps 4 Joy image to participate in the challenge.  However, if you do...your project will also be entered for a seperate prize, the DT Choice award!  I hope to see you playing along!

Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday: A Touch of Sparkle
Card Crafter's Circle: Sparkle, Sparkle
The Pink Elephant - Buttons Galore
Top Tip Tuesday - Dig Out the Old

Sassy Studio Designs May Release

Hello, and happy Saturday!  I'm so excited because it's time for the Sassy Studio Designs release blog hop!  Woot woot!  This is just thrilling.  You should have arrived here from Sara's blog.  Wasn't her card fabulous?  She's just one of the incredibly talented Sassy Sisters I'm proud to have as my teamie. If you didn't arrive from Sara's, head back to the beginning at the Sassy Studio Designs blog to make sure you don't miss out on the fabulous prizes.  Before I show you my card, I should explain how this hop is happening, right?

WELL, first of all, the theme of this hop is all about FLOWERS.  Each DT member's creation should have flowers, and we'll all be telling you our favorite flowers.  My favorite flower is the Tiger Lily.

These grow like crazy here in Minnesota.  I have a ton of them in a little garden next to my back steps.  They're so pretty, especailly after it rains!  What's your favorite flower?

Ok!  Now during this hop there are THREE prizes that can be won.  Two lucky commenters from somewhere in the DT blogs will win one new image each.  How cool is that?  You'll have to leave love for all the Sassy Sisters in the hop, though, 'cause there's no way to know which DT blog will have the prize.  (I don't even know!!) Plus, the grand prize is to win THREE new images!  Whoo hoo!  To be eligible for that prize, you HAVE to comment on the Sassy Studio Designs blog.

Now, before I get to the blog hop list, I get to share my project. Meet Sexy Marie!

Isn't she a cutie?  As many of you know, I'm a huge Francophile and kind of a history buff, so I was super excited to have this image inspired by Marie Antoinette.  *Obviously* this is a little sexier than she would have dressed back then...but that's the fun of artistic license, right? =D  I was originally going to use a french sentiment, but decided this sentiment from Create with TLC was just too perfect.

Okey doke!  Now that you've seen my card, it's time to continue on the hop.  Your next stop is Jackie.  I've listed the blog hop below in case you get lost.  Don't forget to stop by the Party Blog tonight at 10pm Eastern Time to chat with the DT and other Sassy Studio Designs fans!  See you there!

Kim

Starla   (That's me!)

Thanks for stopping by, and hopefully we'll talk to you tonight!

Girl on Fire

Hello, hello!  Have you been seeing the previews for this month's release at Sassy Studio Designs?  I hope so...the images are just FABULOUS!  Are you a fan of The Hunger Games?  I loved the books, and really enjoyed the first movie.  I can't wait until the second comes out.  Well, I get to preview one of the new images from the release, and it's also inspired by The Hunger Games.  Meet Katniss, the Girl on Fire!

Gorgeous, no?  With all the folds, this dress is just a BLAST to color!  =D  I'm horrible at coloring flames, so I decided to just use the colors red and yellow.  I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out!  I also got to use my new grey Copics to try to create black hair.  I really like them!

Want to see some more of the images being released tomorrow? Why don't you pop on over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog to check them out!  Don't forget to stop by the blog tomorrow for the hop, then stick around and chat with the DT tomorow evening.  It's lots of fun, with lots of laughs, and it's great to get to know these inspiring ladies even better than you already do.

Don't forget...it's Fabulous Freebie Friday!  Head on over to the Sassy Studio Designs group on Paper Craft Planet to pick up today's free image.

Sassy Studio Designs Sponsors Wicked Wednesday ATCs

Good morning, y'all!  This week Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring one of my favorite challenge blogs....Wicked Wednesday ATC  Challenges!  I know I haven't been around blogland much recently (more on that in a few weeks) so I haven't been able to participate in challenges much...so I was extra happy to be able to create an ATC for this challenge blog!  The theme this week is....

A Little Bit Country

Now, when I first heard the theme, I couldn't get "a little bit rock 'n' roll" to stop scrolling through my head. LOL  I do love my Westerns, though, so this challenge was a blast.

I used Cowgirl Debbie (Sassy Cowgirl) on my ATC.  Isn't she a hoot?  I have her sitting on a saddle that I found in a public domain free clip art website.  (I'm at work and don't remember the website, but I'll post it later if you're interested.)

Want to play along?  Head on over to the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenges to check out their post with all the details and inspiration from their DT.  Want some more inspiration?  Head on over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog to see what the other Sponsorship Sassy Sisters have come up with.  You will not be disappointed!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and we'll see you soon!

Crafting When We Can

Good morning, y'all, and Happy Mother's Day!!  Big hugs to all the hard-working mamas out there...you are appreciated!

Today, Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the newest challenge over at Crafting When We Can.  Not only that, but I got to be one of the guest designers!!  Woot, woot!  I'm so thrilled.  It's my favorite kind of challenge, my favorite style.  Have you guessed the challenge yet?  It's.....

Steampunk Pics
(image from Steampunk Pics)

Oooh, I just love steampunk, don't you?!  Not quite sure what it is?  It's basically a cross between the Victorian era and the Industrial Revolution, with a smattering of science fiction.  In many steampunk tales, it is a post-apocalyptic world.  Want more information?  Check out these three sites here, here and here.  Think Victorian clothing with lots of machine parts, flying objects, and metal.  =D

Here's what I created:

I used the gorgeous Steampunk Victoria from Sassy Studio Designs.  Isn't she a hoot?  She is one of my favorite images.  =D  She was colored with Copics.  Her background paper uses a stamp from Technique Tuesday's Get in Gear set.   The paper was then embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and edged with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  The clock paper is from Bo Bunny's Timepiece collection.  The gears were cut out of metallic paper with my brand new Spellbinders Shapeability die.  The word charm, metal gear and arrows are from Tim Holtz.  The steampunk bird photo corners are from Jolee's Boutique.

Anxious to give it a shot for yourself?  Want some more inspiration?  Head over to the Crafting When We Can challenge blog to see the awesome makes by their DT.  Need even MORE inspiration?  Head on over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog so see the samples from the Sassy Sisters.  I really do hope you will join in this challenge!  I would love to see what you come up with.  =D

Sassy Studio Designs Sponsors Fat Pages with Attitude

Hey y'all! I'm here to let you know...Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the newest challenge over at Fat Pages with Attitude!  What is a Fat Page, you might ask?  Well, as they put it on the FPwA blog, a fat page is a 4x4 work of art. It can be any medium, and the more you put on it, the better!

The current challenge is Anything Goes/Butterflies and Blooms

I used the fabulous Renaissance Sassy.  I just think she's so pretty!  The sentiment is from Create with TLC. The flowers and pin are from Wild Orchid.  Lace, butterflies and gems from my stash.

Want to play along?  Head on over to the Fat Pages with Attitude to check out their post with all the details and inspiration from their DT.  Want some more inspiration?  Head on over to the Sassy Studio Designs blog to see what the other Sponsorship Sassy Sisters have come up with.  You will not be disappointed!
