Purple, Purple...and More Purple

Anita Be Stampin is having a color challenge, and guess what color....  That's right, purple!  LOL  (Actually, the colors are light purple, dark purple, cream/light yellow and kraft.  Check out the details here.)  I actually had a heck of a time trying to get the right purples.

Well, I think it turned out alright, anyway.  =)  Hope you like it!

Your Love Gives My Heart Wings

So I found a fantastic folding tutorial on StampARTic called a Napkin Folded Card. I just had to try it.  (You can find the tutorial here, it's very simple and fun!)  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Here's a close-up of the inside of the card.  The sketch was created by Sweet Sketch Wednesdays.

The stamp is a Meljens Design stamp, colored with colored pencils and stickles.  I hope you all like it!

I Heart You!!!

Hey y'all!  I was honored to get the chance to guest design for one of my favorite digi artists: Guylou!  She's starting a new challenge today: Hearts, in honor of Heart Month (February).  Head on over to Guylou's Inimitability to see the details of the challenge, and to get some great tips on reducing your risk of heart disease.  You have until February 17th at 10 pm EST to enter, so go check it out!

Here is the card I created for my GDT spot:

The stamps used are Guylou's Love Seat (isn't it adorable?!?!) and Sundae & Heart combined with a VN Digital Art girl.  It was colored with Copic markers, and the stained glass was layered with Glaze pens.

I had such a blast creating this card...I hope you like it! Thanks again to Guylou and her amazing DT for such great stamps and such wonderful inspiration.  You girls rock!

Vintage Valentine

I've done it!!  I have made my first vintage card all on my own, without any instructions or sketches.  I'm so excited!  Here it is........(drumroll)..........

Woo!  Ok...I'm over it now.  I just had to celebrate.  As much as I love, love, LOVE vintage, I never do it.  Anyway.  This card was made using Tim Holtz's seasonal papers, Digi Doodle Shop digi stamps (image and sentiment), Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Tea Dye, Wrights lace ribbon (colored with the distress inks), Hero Arts art flowers (also colored with the distress inks) and everything was spritzed with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Spritz in gold.
