'Twas the Night Before Christmas

And all through the house, not a creature was stirring...not even a MOUSE!

Hey y'all!  It's time for the next Digistamps 4 Joy challenge.  This theme is Christmas...but no critters!  That's right...no mouse, no dog, no cat, no lamb, no donkey...you get the picture. =D  Easy peasy, right?

Plus....there's a little change in the rules this time.  You have FOUR WEEKS to enter this challenge instead of the usual two weeks!  How cool is that?!?  AND.....if you enter a Christmas project with no animals...you can enter a second ANYTHING GOES project as long as you use a Digistamps 4 Joy image.  Who doesn't love extra chances to win?!?

I decided to use the gorgeous 4 Seasons Winter and to create my first ever center step card.  This is one of my favorite Digistamps 4 Joy images and I've been just itching to use her!  I colored the image with Copics and used Stickles on the fur.  Papers are from DCWV (blue) and TPC Studio (silver/white). The sentiments are from Hero Arts.  Gems and snowflakes are from my stash.

Now that you've had a chance to see my card, head on over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog to see the fabulous creations by the rest of the design team.  You will NOT be disappointed!  Lots of fabulous inspiration to be found over there.  =D

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really hope to see you all join in with the challenge this month!

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Not me!  =D  The theme this week over at Wicked Wednesday ATC is Books/Reading.  Quite a while ago I won some digis from Spesch Designer Stamps but just never got around to using them.  You know how that goes, right?  It seems like something else is always popping up, and before you know it so much time has passed.  Well, this was the PERFECT chance to use one!

I used Little Red.  Isn't she adorable?  I love the little skull holding the cape together.  The story of Little Red Ridinghood has always intrigued me.  I love how many variations of the story there are...I especially love the ones where Red gets away from the wolf not by the help of some huntsman, but by her own cunning.  Or maybe I just like the idea of a talking wolf.  =D

I colored the image using Copics (skin, hair and basket), Spica markers (dress, stockings, eye, shoes and gloves) and a red Glaze pen for the the cape.  The background paper is from DCWV's Immortal Beloved stack.  The sentiment was printed in word with the Demons and Darlings font.  Moon and "spooky" brad are from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  We'll see you again soon!

Challenges:
Wicked Wednesday ATC: Books/Reading
ATC Blog Challenge: Anything Goes or Add Lace (Sorry I didn't get any lace!!)

Animals

I scheduled this to post while I was gone...hope it works!

Hello hello!  First of all, to all of my friends in the USA...

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well, really, I wish a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, no matter where you live.  I know we all have something, if not many things, we are thankful for.  Blessings to you all!

Ok, now down to business!  It's challenge time over at Digi Doodle Shop, and this week we want to see....Animals!  As many of you know, we are running a special with Pet Pardons (details later in the post), and the lovely ladies at Digi Doodle Shop thought this would be a good time to have an animal challenge.

I used the adorable Christmas Puppy, found right here. Guess what I want for Christmas!  LOL  Nah, we don't have room for another one, more's the pity.  At least I can console myself by coloring beautiful images of them.  =D  The image was colored with Copics. Papers are by DCWV.  Ribbon, flowers (white, colored with Copics), brad and "wish" sentiment are from my stash.

Now you've seen my card, hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.

Remember, you don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop stamp, but if you do it will be entered twice.  Also, you can enter as many times as you want...as long as it's with a new card/project each time.  Plus, all animal stamps are 25% off for the month of November!  PLUS, if you spend $7, you'll get one of these fabulous images:

and a chance to support Pet Pardons! It's a fabulous organization, so I hope you'll help support them!

Be safe, and thanks for coming by!

Another Batch of Cards

Well, it's just been a busy, busy weekend.  =D  I've got another batch of cards...I hope you enjoy them!

First up, we have an autumn fairy card.  The image is from Saturated Canary.  Isn't she fabulous?!?  She's one of the images I won as part of a blog hop candy from Tracy. Image colored with Copics. The papers are from Bo Bunny.  The leaves and sentiment are from my stash.

Challenges:
Saturated Canary: Autumn Colors

This next card is using the beautiful Louise and Wreath by Guylou's Inimitability.  The papers are from DCWV. Flowers and circle sentiments are from my stash. Image colored with Copics, Stickles added to wreath and outlining most of the papers.

Challenges:
Guylou's Inimitability: Christmas with a Wreath Twist
Papertake Weekly: Christmas Crackers
Crafty Ann's: Sketch

This one is my very first trifold card.  I was so excited how it turned out!  The image is a recent freebie from Tiddly Inks, colored with Copics and stickles added to fur.  The papers are from TPC Studio. The main sentiment is from Hero Arts.  The skates and sentiment are from Dear Lizzy and American Crafts.  The snowflakes and penguin are from my stash.  You can't really see it, but the strips of paper on the top and bottom center say "Let it Snow".

****************Also, a small tip!*************
I don't know if you're like me, but I have a TON of scrap paper.  I love it, and still want to be able to use it on cards.  To be able to find what I want quickly, I have three photo boxes that I use for scraps.  I have them separated into warm, cool and neutral colors.  Then I know exactly what box to go to depending on the color scheme of my project!  Eventually I will add boxes for different seasons (i.e. Christmas, Halloween) to be able to find the papers even faster.  =D

Challenges:
Tiddly Inks: Anything Goes
Do You Stack Up: A Splash of Blue
Crafty Sentiments: Metal (The snowflakes on the front of the closed card are metal.)
Top Tip Tuesday: More than One Fold
Ladybug Crafts Ink: Winter Blues
Charisma Cardz: Snowflakes

This ATC was actually created for the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. Unfortunately, silly me didn't pay attention to the TIME of the due date and missed it by a couple of hours.  LOL  Just shows...make sure to PAY ATTENTION to the deadlines!  =D  I thought I would still show it off, though, since I spent so much time on it.  The image and sentiment are stamps by Penny Black.  I just love the Penny Black girls...though Mimi is definitely my favorite.  I won this stamp set as part of the Scrapfest  swag from Archiver's.  I colored it with Copics and glaze pens (for the outside  of the flower wrapper and the flower petals).  The paper is from DCWV, and I colored the flowers using Spica markers.  I then added Stickles to the center of the flowers.  You know me...can't create anything without Stickles! LOL  The ribbon and butterfly punches were from my stash.  I don't really do Thanksgiving cards, but I'm entering this into The Stamping Boutique's Thanksgiving/Give Thanks challenge.  I figure it is still a give thanks project.  If you do not agree, please feel free to remove me from the challenge entries.  =D

Wow, like I said...busy weekend!  Plus there were a few more I finished that you just don't get to see yet...they're part of my DT posts.  Bet you can't wait, huh? LOL  I hope you all have a fabulous week.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Don't Be a Crab!

Hey y'all!  I've got my first card for the first challenge in the second session of the Progressive Challenge over at Crafters Digital Art Center (CDAC).  Whew!  Now that was a mouthful!  LOL  The first challenge is....What's Cooking!!

I used this adorable crab by Tiffany Doodles.  Mmmm....crab legs!  LOL I thought this was just a fun little card, and would hopefully give someone a smile to get them out of a crabby mood.  =D  Or maybe I'll just keep it around to get myself out of crabby moods.  Possibly a good sign for work! LOL

Well, thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back soon with some more cards!

A Very Tiddly Christmas

Hey y'all!  I've got a few new cards to share with you.  =D

This I created using the adorable BahHuggaBuggs from the Tiddly Inks basement. Image colored with Copics, papers from Stampin' Up, snowflake punch from Stampin' Up.

Challenges:
Tiddly Inks: Anything Goes
Fab 'n' Funky: Baby it's Cold Outside
Paper Shelter: Snowflakes
Crafty Catz: Snowflakes
Sweet Sketch Wednesday: #128

This next card is with a brand new stamp (to me anyway)....Irish Christmas Fae by Crafts and Me.  Oooh, I just love this image!

Isn't she just gorgeous?!?  You know how I love everything Irish.  =D Image colored with Copics, and a Spica marker for the wings.  The papers are from DCWV.  The snowflake border is a border punch by Martha Stewart.

Challenges:
Crafts and Me: Simples
Mami Doodles: Fairy Tales are Real
Priscilla Styles:  Midnight Madness Sketch 130

One last card for this post...not Christmas, though.  As some of you know, the newest installment of the Twilight Saga movies was released in the US a couple of days ago.  I do love the books and movies...but I always seem to be a fan of the bad guys.  What can I say?  Gotta love James and Victoria.  =D  Therefore, I chose to use Pixie Dust Studio's Victoria for their newest challenge: Twilight Inspired Red, Black and White/Silver....add Sparkle!

Victoria was colored with Copics and a silver marker.  Skin was covered with Stickles.  (Vampires glitter, you know.  LOL) The papers are from DCWV's Immortal Love paper collection.  Love Bites sticker is from Marah Johnson's Breathless collection, which was inspired by the Twilight movies.  Bats, ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Whew!  Hope you enjoyed my cards today!  I should have a couple more coming up shortly.  =D

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas....

Thankfully, not too much like Christmas!  I would gladly keep our streets snow free for as long as possible.  However, I do really need to crack down on my Christmas cards....just about a month left to make them!  That's why I was very excited for this week's Digi Doodle Shop challenge.  This week we want to see.....red and green!

I used the fabulous Christmas Ornaments, which can be found here.  Aren't they pretty?  You can do so much with them....make them all one or two colors for an elegant look, make them all sorts of different colors for a fun and funky look... the possibilities are endless!  Some of my favorite Christmas memories are of decorating the tree with the family... Christmas music on the stereo (usually the Muppet Christmas....mom loves that album).  I colored mine with Spica glitter markers.  I Just LOVE the sparkle.  The green paper and holly paper are from DCWV.  The gold paper is from We're Stampin' Mad...just had to add some gold for a little extra oomph! =D  The ribbon and bells embellishment are from my stash.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo, and was stamped with Distress Ink in Pine Needles.

So, you think you can play along with our color challenge?  Hop on over to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Wags 'n Whiskers: Christmas Themed
Totally Gorjuss: Christmas Traditions
Digital Tuesday: Christmas Time
Heart Song Inspirations: Gold or Glitter

Tic Tac Toe

Hello, hello!  Happy Wednesday!  =D  It's time for another Digistamps 4 Joy challenge....and it's a fun one!  This week is Tic Tac Toe...In Full Color!

So what does that mean?  Easy!  We want you to use the three colors in a tic tac toe line from the table above.  It can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.

I chose the blue, green and gold line, and made my very first waterfall card.  The image I used is the fabulous Christmas Candle, which can be found here.  I colored it with a gold Spica marker, a green Spica marker and a blue glaze pen.  The gold paper is from We're Stampin' Mad, the blue paper is from Stampin' Up, the gems, ribbon and button are from my stash.  The sentiment stamp is Inkadinkadoo.

Now that you've seen my card, why don't you head over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog to see the fabulous creations by the rest of the design team?  They are very inspiring.  =D  Remember, you don't have to use a Digistamps 4 Joy image to play along, but if you do you have two chances to win!

Christmas Shaker

I'm baaaaack.....LOL  Told ya I'd see you soon.  =D  Yes, I've got ANOTHER card for the Progressive Challenge over at Crafters Digital Art Center (CDAC).  The theme is still Winter Wonders.

I made a shaker card...I just love these!  The image is from Daisy Doodles, colored with Copics, Spica markers, a silver Uniball gel pen and a red glaze pen.  The papers are from DCWV, except for the gold, which I got at We're Stampin' Mad.  The fun part is the shaker.  I got this large oval piece of plastic called the Shake It by Impression Obsession.  It's a self adhesive shaker pouch!  To cover the edges, I used a Shaker Overlay from The Paper Cut.  It started out as white, but I colored with a gold paint dabber by Ranger and then gold shimmer spritz by Tsukineko.  The snowflake is a punch from Stampin' Up.  I decorated it with Stickles....and hope that it counts as a 3D snow since I bent up the edges a bit. =D

Besides CDAC, I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'll get those winners posted ASAP.  =D

Have a Cool Yule!

Hey y'all, happy Sunday!  First off, I want to thank everyone for participating in my hop and challenge.  I haven't picked the winners yet...sorry!  I will try to get it done later tonight, but they will definitely be posted by tomorrow morning.  There just aren't enough hours in the day, ya know?  =D

I used this adorable image from Designed to Delight.  I just think he's so cute!!  The silver paper is from The Paper Company, the dp on the front is from TPC Studio and the dp on the inside is from DCWV.  The image is colored with Copics, and I used a 3D snow pen for the snow. (I didn't realize I was going to end up covering most of it....but you can still kind of see it. LOL)  The snowflake borders are from my new Martha Stewart border punch....love it!

In addition to CDAC, I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by, and we'll see you soon!

Let's Get Sketchy!

**For the Blog Hop and Fairy Challenge please scroll down**

Good morning!  It's time for another Digi Doodle Shop Challenge!!  Woot woot!  This week we are challenging you to create a project using this sketch and either snowflakes or flowers (in place of the flowers in the sketch).

Pretty, huh?  I had a lot of fun working with this sketch.

I used the beautiful Winter Snow Bird. I just love this image...between the cute little bird, the fabulous trees and the lovely holly along the edges...it's one of my favorites.  =D  I colored the image with Copics.  It's kind of hard to see, but the majority of lines in the snow are outlined with Stickles.  The snowflakes (which were part of a Martha Stewart border punch I cut apart) are also outlined with Stickles.  I wish y'all could see it in real life...it's SO sparkly!  =D

Well, now that you've seen my card, slide on over to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.  They are just **fabulous**!

New ATC Challenges!

**For the Blog Hop and Fairy Challenge please scroll down**

Hey y'all!  I am here to share some exciting news.  If you haven't heard yet, the amazingly sweet and talented Jenn from Stampin' Angel Jenn has started a new challenge blog!  It's called Wicked Wednesday Weekly ATC Challenges.  How awesome is that?  A challenge blog for just ATCs!  I don't know about y'all, but I am just thrilled. Now, this blog actually started about a month ago...but I've been a little bit MIA for a while, so I missed it until now.  Well, I fully intend to start making up for that now!  =D

This week's challenge is to create an angel ATC.  A little while ago I purchased the Sugar 'n' Spice images from Tiddly Inks.  I just love these images, and had printed them and colored them...but not yet created anything.  So, what better way to use one than for my first ATC entry?  The image was almost too big for the ATC, but I think I got it to fit alright...

For this ATC I used the adorable Angel Spice.  Isn't she awesome?  I love her hair.  She actually came with two flying hearts, but I ran out of room so had to leave the second one off.  I colored Angel with Copics, except for her lips and eyes, which are colored with Spica Markers.  The base of the ATC is a Bicycle Joker playing card, which I covered with my background paper.  The dp I think is from BoBunny.  I outlined the clouds with Stickles to make them stand out a little more.  The ticket is a stamp from Stampin' Up that I stamped, outline with a teal Le Pen and wrote my sentiment in the middle.  Then the ticket was also outlined with Stickles.

I was pretty happy with how this one turned out...especially her hair!  =D  I usually have such a hard time with ATCs....I always feel mine are too plain, but if I embellish them too much I feel like they're too heavy and overdone.  Then again, I have the same problem with my cards.  LOL

I am entering this ATC in the following challenges:
Wicked Wednesday: Getting Angelic
Digital Tuesday: Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon! =D  By the way....if y'all haven't gone through my blog hop or challenge yet, you have until Saturday at midnight.  Lots of prizes, including gift certificates to some of my favorite companies (including Tiddly Inks).  Hope you check it out!

It's a Blog Hop!!

Hey y’all!  Happy Sunday!  If you’re new to my blog, welcome to my little corner of blogland.  =D  A year ago tomorrow I wrote my first post on this blog.  Over this first year, I have found so many dear friends and had so much fun entering challenges, being part of some fabulous design teams, and just creating for the joy of creating.  I decided this first anniversary needed to be celebrated in a big way, since this crafting community has become such a big part of my life.

On top of my one year blogaversary, I wanted to celebrate the birthday I just had.  One year away from the big 3-0….time passes by so fast!  Also, a couple of months ago I actually passed over 100 followers!  It’s just so hard for me to believe there’s that many people out there who want to see what I’m up to and (hopefully) are inspired by me and my creations!

As part of my celebration, I decided to have a blog hop.  I wanted to introduce y’all to some of the people who have really inspired me over the past year.  All of these ladies are extremely talented, kind and caring.  I would not be where I am today without their friendship and support.  I hope y’all enjoy visiting them!

Now, before I get to the list for the blog hop, let’s talk about prizes, shall we? There are actually two parts to this celebration.  The first is the blog hop.  Every person that visits every stop in the hop and leaves a comment on each post gets entered into a drawing to win a $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite stamp companies.  One will receive a gift certificate to Tiddly Inks, one to Guylou's Inimitability, one to Simply Betty Stamps and one to Digi Doodle Shop.  Click on the links below to visit their stores and browse around!

The second part of the celebration is…..the challenge!  Since I just LOVE fairies, I’m hosting a fairy themed challenge!  All you need to do to enter is to create a fairy themed project and link it to Mr. Linky below!  Only one entry per person, and please remember to link directly to your post and not to your blog.  You have until 11/12/11 at midnight CST to enter.  The candy pictured below is the grand prize for this challenge!  It has a little bit of everything, so I hope it looks yummy!  I tried to get a good picture....but there was too much stuff.  =D  You can't see everything, but you get the gist of it.

I am just so excited to share this celebration with you, so let’s get started!  Below is the blog hop list, and below that is Mr. Linky.  Remember, you have until midnight CST on 11/12/11 for both the blog hop and the challenge!  Head on over to Vicki at Songbird’s Nest to start the hop, and you should finish up right back here.  Have fun!

Winter is Here!

Just in case you weren't aware.  =D  At least it is in the northern hemisphere, and it's coming with a vengeance!  So, to celebrate, Digi Doodle Shop wants to see some Winter cards for this week's challenge.   Have you gotten a start on your holiday cards yet?   Maybe this is a good time to start!  =D

The first thing I always think of when winter comes is caroling.  I've only done it a couple of times, but it was so much fun!!  Unfortunately I don't currently live in the kind of neighborhood that would be good for that....but maybe some day!  For now, I'll just have to stick to making cards with carolers on it.  =D  I used A Christmas Carol, which can be found here.  Aren't they just adorable?  They reminded me of something from a vintage ad, so I decided to do a distressed card.  Papers are from Tim Hotlz and Stampin' Up. Sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  Image was colored with Copics, and papers were edged with Distress Ink in Pumice Stone.  Ribbon and snowflakes are from my stash.

Well, now that you've seen my card, jump on over to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog to check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.  You do not want to miss anything by these talented ladies!

I hope to see you join in our challenge this week!  Thanks for stopping by, and we'll catch ya later.  =D

I am entering this into the current Crafts and Me challenge: Let the Music Move You

Mahalo!

Hey, y'all!  It's time for another Digistamps 4 Joy challenge!  This challenge's theme is With Gratitude.  We want to see any kind of project, as long as it says "thank you" in some form on it.  It can be for any reason....and who doesn't love getting a little thanks?

I used the gorgeous Hula Honey, which can be found here, and colored her with Copics.  The papers are from Stampin' Up.  I printed the sentiment using Word with a fabulous font called Hawaii Lover, then outlined it with Spica marker and cut it out.  Mahalo means thank you in Hawaiian.  The flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

I just love how tropical this is.  I could DEFINITELY use a Hawaiian vacation...how about you?  =D

Just in case that isn't an option, why don't you head over to the Digistamps 4 Joy challenge blog to see the fabulous creations by the rest of the design team?  They are very inspiring.  =D  Remember, you don't have to use a Digistamps 4 Joy image to play along, but if you do you have two chances to win!

Thanks for stopping by, and we'll see you tomorrow!

November Sales and Specials!

Good morning, everyone!!  I'm dropping in to let y'all know about the November Sale and Special going on at Digi Doodle Shop.  This month, we have 25% of ALL animal images!!  How great is that?  There are some fabulous images...especially if (like me) you've procrastinated and have not yet made your holiday cards. LOL

Now, you know that every month Digi Doodle Shop has a special, where if you spend $5 you get some lovely freebies.  This month is a little different.  There is something very special happening this month at Digi Doodle Shop. Instead of getting the special images if you spend $5, you'll get it if you spend $7.  Why the increase in price this month?  Because $2 of that money will be given to a wonderful organization called Pet Pardons.

What is Pet Pardons?  It is a Facebook application that focuses on saving the lives of shelter animals.  As of June 7, 2011, it had already saved over 3,000 pets from Death Row across America.  It's goal is to save shelter dogs and cats on Death Row, and also to promote no-kill shelters.

Here are the special images!

Stay tuned for a special card, using one of the special images, to promote this fabulous organization!
